How it started
giftex began as a Secret Santa app I built for my own family. We've used it every year for the past five years to draw names, keep the rules straight and keep the surprise a surprise.
Somewhere along the way I realised other families, groups of friends and teams might find a tool like this useful too — for the holidays, or for any occasion where people swap gifts. So I turned it into giftex and opened it up to everyone.

When you add people to an exchange, you're trusting giftex with their names and email addresses. Here's my promise about how they're used.

Emails and details you enter are used for one thing: running your gift exchange. Nothing else.

Never shared, never sold
Your information is only ever handled by the services needed to run giftex — like the one that delivers your emails — and never for their own use. It's never sold or given to partners, marketers or data brokers.

No ads. No tracking.
You won't see ads on giftex, and your information is never used to target you or anyone in your exchange.
How giftex makes money
Only through the fees charged for using it. That's the whole business. giftex doesn't make a cent from advertising, and it doesn't make money from your information in any way.
